greatest investment year to date<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Last year, we invested in two major plants,\u00a0which are essential to supply new markets.\u00a0First, in cooperation with our customer, a\u00a0new production unit in Ostend was launched\u00a0that makes raw materials for green tires.\u00a0This step marked not only a milestone in the\u00a0cooperation, but also in our overall strategy\u00a0to develop products and processes that\u00a0contribute to a sustainable environment.\u00a0The second installation is a salts plant with\u00a0an automated filling and stacking system in\u00a0Hemiksem for our Animal Health division.\u00a0This new line enables us to meet increasing\u00a0customer requests for organic acids in solid\u00a0form. Given that the vast majority of our\u00a0range consists of liquids, it is an exceptional\u00a0installation for us.<\/p>

Besides these major investments, many other\u00a0projects and initiatives were also carried out\u00a0last year. For example, we invested in the\u00a0renovation of the offices in Hemiksem and\u00a0the electrification of the vehicle fleet with\u00a0corresponding charging stations. On top of\u00a0that, it was also an exceptional year in terms\u00a0of daily operational investments, both in\u00a0Hemiksem and in Ostend.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Once again, the Proviron team in 2023\u00a0delivered their very best. On the one hand,\u00a0there was good prospecting and sales.\u00a0For example, an extensive campaign was done for our de-icers in Eastern Europe,\u00a0resulting in an absolute record year for\u00a0Provifrost. On the other hand, we have to\u00a0remember that those growing volumes\u00a0were also produced and delivered, despite\u00a0the challenges in terms of the raw material\u00a0market and logistics. It makes us proud to\u00a0see how Proviron\u2019s core values, such as\u00a0impeccable delivery and customer service,\u00a0were once again upheld by our production\u00a0team and logistics department. The\u00a0team\u2019s determination reflects Proviron\u2019s\u00a0commitment to quality and reliability. We\u00a0are therefore incredibly grateful to our\u00a0employees for this achievement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Overall, we achieved better results than the previous year, despite the challenges faced in the chemical sector in Europe. We understand the importance of investing during less favorable economic times, and the proceeds from the sale of land in 2022 allowed us to fulfill this. We invested more than we earned in 2023 and we are already harvesting the benefits from that.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Safety remains a fundamental area of focus. In 2024, we saw too many minor incidents,both in production and in the labs. Although they had no serious consequences, we want to prevent worse. We took measures such as increased awareness, new tools and additional safety training.<\/p>

A safety culture in which employees are aware of risks and are willing to hold eachother responsible is something we remain committed to. Taking time to prevent accidents is crucial – safety should never be secondary to time pressure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

While the chemical sector in Europe was under pressure, Proviron still managed to achieve modest growth in 2024 compared to 2023. The investments are paying off, and this gives us the resilience to face challenges. In 2022 and 2023, some new production units were launched such as binders for green tyres, feed additives and heat transfer fluids. In 2024, our other plants and processesreceived considerable attention in terms of maintenance and investment. As a result, we are not only in good operational condition, we also strengthened our relationship of trust with the government.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A good example of this is the successful implementation of our new ERP system in April. Thanks to thoughtful preparation and the commitment of our teams, the transition went particularly smoothly – a testament to the strength of cooperation within Proviron.
